If the star is supposed to have a lot of talent they should have picked someone WITH talent to portray him instead of a no talent.. Such is horryrood..

Watch this and you'll be wishing for death too...
It opens with a shot of Hollywood and a narration:
"In this town of make-believe, the truth behind the scenes is also filled with drama. This is a realistic documentary of how one young actor struggles with life."
So we're to expect "truth" in this "realistic documentary", presumably about James Dean. We must presume, because this "realistic documentary" is fiction and the actor is called "Johnny Dennis". Johnny Dennis is supposed to be deeply troubled, but the actor who played Johnny just couldn't do deep. So instead Johnny just mopes, whines, and gets on your nerves. In fact, the only character that didn't make my skin crawl was "Toby", the teddy bear.
I want to rate this -10, because it's lower than the lowest. It doesn't just suck - it sucks the spirit out and left me feeling like a sucker for watching it.

I thought it was pretty awful
I sat through the whole thing, and I don't get my hour back so I get to say that it was plain dreck.

Soap opera paced story
James Dean guy is lost, Natalie Wood girl is lonely, and Marlon Brando type is vicious.
Look for the "guy in the golf hat" at the premier of the Johnny Dennis movie.

Lost, Lonely and thoughly confused
I give it three stars because my dad is in the first scene in the coffee shop. He's the one in the golf hat "talking" to the supporting actors.
I saw the film with my older brother at the opening in Tuscaloa Alabama. I was 6 and he was 8. Not your typical film for chidren to see but if your father was in it, wouldn't you?
Anyway, thisfilm after th gala premeire was delgated to the drive in circult and lost to the phantasm and endless corridor of time and neglect.
